Last night I went to the Benefit event held in the Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh for the launch of their exciting new product. Here's what Benefit has to say about it!
Fine-One-One to the rescue! This sheer brightening cheek and lip colour gives your look instant LIFT, SHAPE and POP. Glide on the three shades: pink champagne, sheer watermelon and soft coral.
For a sheer coral pink flush that builds from soft & natural to bright & cheery.

We were given a demonstration of the product by the lovely Claire. She showed us how to apply it by simply smiling and running it over the cheekbone and then gently blending for a gorgeous natural flush and how to build it up for a more intense colour payoff. Personally the natural finish was my favourite, I can see me using this at 5:30am quickly before I go to work (where no/natural makeup is favoured). It really brightens and lifts the face so perfect for those rushed early mornings when you're probably still wishing you were burrowed in your duvet.
But that's just the basics of what this product can do. It's a lip product too, so you can slick on the watermelon or coral colour (or a blend of both) and use the pink champagne colour as a centre highlight and on the cupids bow for a pouty lipped look. Or if you want to keep it simple, you can just use the pink champagne for a subtle gorgeous sheen. I also love that the highlighter section can be used down the bridge of the nose and under the brow bones. This is a serious multitask product - you can literally just about do your whole face with this one product. If you're a no-fuss, always in a rush type of gal I would highly suggest you give this little beauty a home in your makeup bag. It's designed to suit a variety of skin tones, so in theory it should work for everyone, but if you're not sure I would at least give it a swatch when you're passing a counter. Fine-one-one is released on the 26th of January at all Benefit counters nationwide, so you don't have a very long wait!
The event was amazing, those Benefit girls definitely know how to show us bloggers a good time! As well as showing us all about the new product, we were given a demonstration of their famous "signature brow". I was always intrigued by their brow philosophy, as benefit for me is the go-to brand if you want fantastic brows. I've sworn by Brow Zings for almost a year now. And, I was always too nervous to get my brows touched by anyone else in case they ruined them, but after the chat and the demo, the brow girls definitely know what they're talking about. The mantra, "Your brows are sisters, not twins" and "There isn't one specific brow to suit everyone" will be permanently ingrained in my mind. They use brow mapping to find the perfect brow shape for you, tint for a fuller - less sparse looking brow, and wax them to the perfect shape before finishing them off with Brow Zings. I tell ya, as soon as I've got some cash, I'm getting mine done!

On top of the Benefit girls putting on a fantastic event, it couldn't have been done without the Hard Rock Cafe. They gave us some excellent service, yummy cocktails, wine and food! I had such a great time, and my head isn't too bad today, which is saying something because Nina kept handing me wine every time there wasn't a glass in my hand! Fantastic hospitality, if I do say so myself. We got lovely "swag bags" filled with Hard Rock Cafe and Benefit goodies; a mini They're Real mascara (so excited by that because I love it!) and a Fine-One-One! Then as if they weren't lovely and generous enough they ran a competition/quiz at the end and I won a Porefessional, which I've been dying to try!

You can just use the palest champagne colour to highlight, but I'd say it's more of a blusher/highlighter combo than just a highlight xx
