For me, 2012 hasn't been the best year. There have been some good things that have happened, but maybe it's just because I'm a pessimist that the bad things are out-weighing the good. I can think of two good things off the top of my head. And that is, that I graduated university and that I started my blog. I wont go into too much detail about the bad stuff, though! I thought I'd share some of my resolutions with you, and because they're written on my blog I'll have to stick to them!
1. Drink less fizzy juice
Normally I drink mostly fizzy juice (Pepsi etc) and even though I don't drink full fat, it's still not great. I wouldn't want to go completely cold turkey, because when you do that it makes you want it more. So I definitely need to have it in moderation. I'm limiting myself to one can a week!
2. Lose my injured foot/Christmas weight
I'm pretty sure that losing Christmas weight it on everyone's list, but I've gained a tiny bit more than usual. I've been out of exercise commison since Halloween when I tore the ligaments in my left foot so being inactive is the main problem. I'm still not going to be able to do any high impact exercise for a while, like running or anything (my exercise of choice, dammit!) so I'm going to try and do some yoga - I've always wanted to try it so now is my opportunity! And I'll probably do some walking, but as soon as I can get running again the better. (Also, I really shouldn't be wearing heels, but I'm wearing smallish ones out tonight, and taking flats in my bag - naughty!)
3. Pass my driving test
I've been doing driving lessons on and off since I was 17 and a half (I'm almost 21 now!), so I really just want to get my test done. In January last year I done my theory test, so from the 17th of Jan, I've only got a year before I need to resit that. Lots of things got in the way, first of all it was my social life when I turned 18, I was going out all of the time and my lessons were getting in the way of my hangovers. Then I didn't have the money for lessons, and when I did (at the start of 2012) my driving instructor messed me around a lot, turning up 20 minutes late for lessons and expecting full pay - so I quit because he was an ass, and I was getting into the final part of uni which really needed my full attention. So this is sort of a two parter - find a good instructor, and make passing my test a priority!
4. Stop wasting my time with people who don't deserve it
This might seem a little ridiculous, but if you know me well, you know that I notoriously waste time with people who don't deserve it. I have good friends, and I'm a bit better at spotting fake friends but basically I'm talking about boys! I always end up liking a complete idiot. I think it's a condition, but alas there is no cure (as far as I know). I waste my time (and so do they - halfwits!) and then I feel all low because they turn out to be a massive disappointment. So, time to be a little more protective and careful with my heart I think!I hope you all have a wonderful New Year whatever you are doing! And keep a look out over the next week or so, I'll be posting my 2012 favourites, and something to do with my makeup and outfit for tonight
All of these things are on my list of resolutions too!! Especially passing my driving test!! Xx.
