Laura Mercier Wishlist
Friday, 9 November 2012
I have been looking a lot into Laura Mercier since I rediscovered my love for the mineral powder foundation (review coming soon!) and I've discovered lots of gorgeous products that I want to try. The most I've heard about is the Silk Creme Foundation, and they've all been rave reviews, I literally haven't heard one bad thing about it. I really have a thing for foundations as I'm always trying to achieve the perfect looking skin. I found the lipstick on the US Website and I loved the shade, although I'm sure it's probably not exact I would go and check it at a counter - but the type of lipstick hasn't been launched in the UK yet as far as I'm aware so I would need to wait! Is there anything you love from Laura Mercier?

NYX Blush Haul
Saturday, 13 October 2012
When I was getting ready to go on holiday I realised that I didn't really have any individually packaged blushes - because most of the ones I use are from my MAC palette. So I had looked at some when I was in duty free, but none of the high-end ones really truly caught my eye. And on my list of things to try were the NYX blushes. I already own two of their mega-shine lipglosses and a jumbo eye pencil, all of which are amazing quality, and I'd heard really good things about their blushes. I'm definitely not disappointed with the ones I chose!
The three colours I chose are Terracotta (on the recommendation from Essiebutton's favourite Autumn Blushes), Spice and Taupe. I plan to use taupe as a contour. I usually use my Chanel Soleil de Tan or Benefit Hoola bronzer as contour - but I don't really like to use bronzer in Winter, because I think it just looks really unnatural.
What I Bought in Duty Free
Tuesday, 9 October 2012
Most of the time when I go on Holiday, I plan to buy my favourite perfume in duty free. I always buy the biggest bottle and it lasts me about two years, so I can justify the price of it anyway because it is expensive. My favourite perfume is Miss Dior, and I have been using the one I already had less because I was running low. I was going to get my sister to buy me it when she went to Ibiza because I wasn't supposed to be going away this year. But, because I ended up going away I waited to get it myself. I honestly love this perfume so much! I'm going to keep this one in the box just now because now I can finish my old bottle!
My Highstreet/Drugstore Makeup Wishlist

Hey Lovelies!
I've been thinking a lot recently about how I haven't really used much of highstreet makeup products for a couple of years. It's not because I'm snobby or that I will only put something that costs more than £20 on my face (...that doesn't sound quite right, but moving on). If you knew me personally you'd know I'm much closer to slob than snob!
It's basically because I think that for the most part you get what you pay for, and I save up for things that I really want. Honestly makeup is just about all that I spend my money on. If you've seen any of my 'outfit of the day' posts, more often than not I'm wearing H&M or Primark, and I don't shop for clothes, accessories or shoes very often. I am probably the only living female that could care less about shoes. My one pair of black heels that I wear out all of the time were £20 from New Look and I've had them for almost 4 years! I barely look after my hair either. So anyway that's why most of my makeup posts are about MAC, or my favourite Chanel.
I thought it was about time that I really started to look for the hidden gems in the highstreet, because I know that there is some! I read plenty of blog posts about highstreet products that people love, and I see them in use by beauty youtubers, so I trust that they are good!

Dior Haul
Sunday, 9 September 2012
Hello Lovelies!
A couple of weeks ago I was in Glasgow, and I went to have a look at the Dior counter, because I love their makeup but never actually owned any. I was speaking to one of the girls who works on the counter about how much I love their very famous highlighters, Rose Diamond and Amber Diamond. I was pretty gutted when she told me they were all sold out and weren't getting them back in as they were going to discontinue them, and then re-launch Amber Diamond, possibly under a different name and design - but this means that the time to get your hands on Rose Diamond is limited because once it's gone, it's gone! I hope she's wrong, but, anyways!
I went home and scoured the internet to try and find places where it was still in stock, and at the moment they are still both in stock at John Lewis online and Selfridges online (not sure about in store). I ended up ordering from Selfridges as they had the lipstick I wanted too (John Lewis didn't), so I thought it was a better idea to get them both from the same place.
I decided on Amber Diamond for the highlighter. Even though this is coming back out at some point, I just gravitated towards this one, I was a bit worried that Pink Diamond wouldn't go well with my complexion. But if it gets to next month and I've got a bit of spare money and it's still available somewhere I might get it.

August 2012 Favourites
Wednesday, 5 September 2012
Hello Lovelies!
Can't quite believe it's September already! I thought I better get a move on and do my favourites post for the month of August so here it is! It'll be the same format as my last favourites post, broken down into categories!
SKINCARE
Body: Superdrug Coconut Oil. I bought this with the intention of using it in my hair as it is a multi-purpose product, but I wasn't seeing the kind of results I wanted with my hair and it was tricky to use. You can't feel it when it's in your damp hair but then after I dried it it looked greasy, so I gave up with that! Then I thought I would try it on my skin. I use this as a night time moisturiser before I go to bed and wake up with gloriously silky skin! I wouldn't recommend this for day time use though as it does leave and oily residue on the skin for a couple of hours until it sinks in.

NYX Mini Haul!
Monday, 20 August 2012
Hi Lovelies!
For ages now I've been dying to get my hands on some NYX products. But as most of you may know, you can't pick them up in any shops in the UK.
So I looked into getting some and thought I'd either have to get some on eBay (with not always reputable sellers) or amazon (where I've had trouble in the past with shoddy sellers - cut to me trying to buy Beauty and The Beast on DVD, and being sent a VHS video...which I already had). They also wouldn't take it back even though they'd false advertised, so I wasn't pleased!
Anyway that was completely off topic, but you get what I'm talking about! I was however very happy to discover that they have a UK based website, and that's where I ordered them from. I bought three things, two of which I'd been dying to try and he third I just liked it at the time!

July 2012 Favourites
Saturday, 4 August 2012
Hey Lovelies!
I haven't done a favourites post before, because I'm not really aware of what products I'm using most throughout the month, but this time I made sure I was paying attention!
I'm going to break it into categories so that my post isn't over run with products!
SKINCARE
Body: My favourite body product of the month has been one that I've rediscovered. I bought 3 bottles of it ages ago because it was in a deal, and I completely forgot about it! It's the Veet Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser. Now I wouldn't say it's a fantastic, luxury moisturiser; but it's fantastic at reducing the hair if you use it regularly. I can go longer inbetween shaving my legs with this which is amazing - but of course it's only when I remember to use it everyday or every second day.
