FashionVouchers.com is currently running a competition for bloggers, giving them the opportunity to be one of three winners for £100 vouchers for their selected merchant.  If you're looking for more details of how you yourself can enter click here.  Basically you have to create a look for the Christmas/Party season keeping it under £100 but you can use any of the valid discount vouchers for your selected merchant at the time of creating the outfit.  The 30% discount for ASOS is only valid until the 25th of November so I'm glad I caught that!

So let me talk you through my choices.  I decided to go with ASOS because there are a lot of different brands that sell on there, so it immediately opened up what I could choose.  Before I even started looking I knew what kind of style I was looking for.  I'm really in to more basic dresses at the moment teamed with amazing accessories.  Also I'm the kind of shopper that when I'm looking for something I always choose something that can be worn again differently.  I didn't even look at any other colours of dresses, I knew I wanted red.  Red is perfect for the Christmas season, and it always will be.  So I think if you're at a loss, trying to think of what style or colour of dress you should be wearing at this time of year - you CANNOT go wrong with red.  The bonus this year is that there are lots of shades of reds due to berry tones being big this Autumn/Winter.  You could go for the classic bright Hollywood red, or something like this which is a little darker.

This look is quite formal, so I'd say it's only for extra special Christmas parties - I definitely wouldn't be wearing this out to a club with friends.  Although the dress teamed with different shoes and accessories could definitely be worn to a club.  I'm seeing black shoe boots and a studded bag for a club look!  Or if you wanted to wear it during the day you could wear it over a simple shirt, with a chunky knit cardi, tights and brogues.  I should stop now, because I'm going to end up talking myself into buying this dress when I already have 3 unworn ones in my wardrobe, but a girl can never have enough dresses right?
