Recently I've been so into wearing neutral makeup.  I've pretty much stuck to wearing brown, beige, pale pink and grey eyeshadow or none at all- I used to wear purple or green and not even think about it!  I think it's because I'm *old* now that I want my makeup to be more simple and flattering rather than experimental and colourful.  I'll always be partial to a bright lipstick now and then though - I love my reds!

Yesterday it was one of many neutral looks.  I wore my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in Porcelain - I love this as a base! It's also the only base product I have that matches my natural skin tone at the moment so it's getting a LOT of use.  I've decided to stop wearing fake tan, basically because it's such a chore and I used to do it religiously, so none of my foundations match anymore - they will get used though, I don't doubt that I'll just randomly tan now and again in the future (probably summer time as I don't tan naturally).  I used my Benefit Fake Up Concealer in Light under my eyes and I used the Deep shade as a subtle contour.  I then used my MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW15 on my particularly stubborn pigmentation scars (can you believe I'm spot free right now?! I'd say miracle!!).  I used my Benefit Fine One One on my cheeks - I love this for a quick and easy pop of colour and I've been using it most days.  I set my base with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, for some reason this hasn't been working as well on me recently and I've had to keep reapplying throughout the day because it disappears.  Any other highstreet powder recommendations would be welcome!

For my eyebrows I filled in my spare areas with MAC Lingering Brow Pencil, I got this for my birthday and I've been loving it for a more subtle brow look to my usual.  I used the wax from my Benefit Brow Zings in Dark to create more texture.  On my eyes I used my Urban Decay Naked Palette: I used Virgin over the lid, Smog in the crease and under the lower lashline and Darkhorse blended into the upper lashline.  I then used my Chanel Le Crayon Kohl in 69 Clair in my waterline to keep my eyes bright.  I used Benefit They're Real in a light layer on the lashes for a natural wispy lash look.  I finished off the look with MAC Shy Girl  for a peachy nude lip.
