On May 26th a new Kiko Milano store opened in Glasgow City Centre.  It was my first opportunity to have a look at Kiko in person, there is a store at the Glasgow Fort, but that's a bit of a trek for me to get to from where I live.  I've been curious about Kiko as a brand for a while; seeing it featured in youtube videos and on other peoples blogs; but I found it difficult to know where to start online with it.  So I hit up the new store on opening day as I was having a bit of general retail therapy that day (my bank account is weeping), and I could have honestly bought so much more than I did even though I bought tons of things!  As an offer on opening day, the first 200 customers received a goody bag with some products so some of these things were given to me for free but I'll let you know which as we go along.  Also some of the products were reduced in price, but to be honest everything is still totally affordable at full price.  The shop was packed so it was actually quite difficult to get a good look at everything.  I started with the Summer collection which was on display near the door.  Here I picked up the Heatwave Lip Oil in Vanilla (I wanted Coconut but there were none left).  The packaging is a gorgeous rose gold in this collection but honestly the bronzers didn't do it for me,  they are shimmery and on my pale skin it doesn't translate as a pretty glow.  It would be gorgeous with a tan though.  I then headed over to the nail section which is HUGE.  So many polishes to choose from.  I picked up one of their regular Nail Lacquers  in the shade 479 Pearly Golden Sesame that was £2.50 (RRP £3.90 usually) so a total bargain.  I haven't tried it out yet but it's really pretty to look at!  Then I picked up one of the Perfect Gel Duos in 682 Violet for £7.90.  I have this on my nails right now and I'm so impressed with the application and finished result.  The Perfect Gel Duos are limited edition and I'm honestly tempted to get every colour because I love the formula so much.  In my goody bag I got another duo in 674 Fuchsia.  I was in the market for a new bronzer because I've been using the same one for years, so I picked up a Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder in 02 Almond for £12.90.  I've used this a couple of times and I love it, it's the perfect shade for me and the powder is so finely milled it blends amazingly.  I chose a blush - the Shade Fusion Trio Blush in 01 Natural Rose for £10.90.  As it has three shades you can choose which colours you want to use, but my favourite is swirling them all together as it gives a radiant dimensional colour finish.  On to eyes and I bought myself three of the Water Eyeshadow for £8.90 each- these can be used dry or wet for added intensity.  The shades I chose are 201 Rosy Taupe; 208 Light Gold and 219 Flamingo Pink.  Included in the goody bag was another of these shadows and this was in 224 Lavender which is gorgeous!  I also picked up a mascara; the Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara for £3.90 (usual RRP £8.90)  I bought this because KathleenLights always talks about and uses it on youtube.  The last makeup item I bought is the Smart Eye Pencil in 800 Golden Silk because I swatched it in store and loved it and thought it would look amazing on my waterline.  I also received a free Kiko Super Gloss in 109 Mat Pink.  Im not massively into glosses but I'll give it a go because I love the shade.  I then checked out the Kiko brushes, which honestly I haven't heard much about but I was drawn to the Blush Brush £17.90 (not online) the handle has a bit of weight to it which is nice when you use it and the bristles are soft and tapered for perfect blush application.  Finally I picked up the Smoky Eyes Brush Kit for £22.90  they had another kit, but the shape of the brushes in this one were more useful for me and least like others that I have.  This was not the only makeup I purchased that day as I also went to Debenhams Beauty Hall and Boots (I have issues clearly) but I think this is more than enough for a haul post!  Are there any products you've bought from Kiko that you love? Leave me a comment - I like blaming others for enabling my purchases!
