Garnier Olia Hair Dye
Wednesday 14 November 2012
Garnier Olia - £6.99 from Boots
Firstly I'll start by saying this is not a sponsored post - because there were a few of them going around at the time of Olia's release! Basically I decided that I really missed my dark hair and I really wanted it back for the winter months. I just felt that the lighter brown and caramel highlights was more of a summer hair for me, and I will probably go back to it next summer. I have dyed my hair a lot by myself, but I've always been faithful to Nice and Easy because it's what my mum always used and I found the results were always nice and it was...easy (nice and easy *facepalm). But, since getting into the blogging world, I've been much more open to trying things I haven't before, and I thought that Olia would be a nice change. I was struggling to find a hair colour range that had the shade I was after - a deep rich colour that wasn't quite black. A lot of the other ranges had really golden or reddish browns, which I really didn't want, and they jumped from them straight to the blackest black ever. I decided on Soft Black from the Olia range.
MAC Plushglass - Big Baby

MAC Plushglass in Big Baby - £17.00
I've had this lipgloss, or "Plushglass" for a while now, and I'm only just getting round to doing a blog post on it. I actually do really like this product, because I think it looks beautiful on, but lipglosses aren't what I gravitate towards wearing everyday - I'm a lipstick girl through and through! But when I do use this either on it's own or over a neutral lipstick I remember just how lovely it is. It's a peach gloss with a soft pink and white pearl through it, and due to the pearl the result is an understated natural glossy lip. I'm not a fan of pale pure peach glosses - especially if they're opaque, because they don't suit my skin tone at all - so I'm glad that this is a neutral peach.
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Spf 15
Sunday 11 November 2012
Way back before summer this year, I decided that I wanted to try a mineral powder foundation. I done my usual research before buying anything and Laura Mercier Mineral Powder won with the most good reviews - which I'm currently about to add to! I only used it about twice before the summer, then I got into using lighter foundations and bb creams so it sat neglected in my makeup drawer for a little while. I started using it again around the end of september when the weather started to drastically change, and I used it all through October too (although in total that would probably be about 8 times because I haven't been wearing makeup much recently: aka I have no social life and haven't left the house/now I can't walk anyway and this is the first time I've had it on in two weeks). Laura Mercier Mineral Powder has fast became a massive love for me, and I'm going to tell you why!
Laura Mercier Wishlist
Friday 9 November 2012
I have been looking a lot into Laura Mercier since I rediscovered my love for the mineral powder foundation (review coming soon!) and I've discovered lots of gorgeous products that I want to try. The most I've heard about is the Silk Creme Foundation, and they've all been rave reviews, I literally haven't heard one bad thing about it. I really have a thing for foundations as I'm always trying to achieve the perfect looking skin. I found the lipstick on the US Website and I loved the shade, although I'm sure it's probably not exact I would go and check it at a counter - but the type of lipstick hasn't been launched in the UK yet as far as I'm aware so I would need to wait! Is there anything you love from Laura Mercier?

China Glaze Ruby Pumps
Wednesday 7 November 2012
I bought this after getting a recommendation on twitter of what nail varnishes I should have in my life, and when I looked this one up I knew I had to have it. I've had it for a while, but it just never felt like the right time to wear it. I don't know about you but red glitter screams "CHRISTMAS" to me. I tried to wait a little longer honest, but I'm already desperate to put up my pink Christmas tree and it's the beginning of November. And two posts ago I was rocking a decidedly Christmassy jumper even though I'm telling myself it's suitable for all winter months! It seems this year I have reverted to being a big kid about Christmas, even though for the last few years I haven't really been excited at all. Don't really know what's going on but, meh I'll just go with it!
The Answer to Every Problem Involved Penguins
Monday 5 November 2012
So...this is my 100th post, I can't believe I've managed to write that much drivel! But anyhoo, I just wanted to do a quick 'What I'm Wearing' makeup post, and sort of half outfit post - because this is the first day since I've hurt my foot that I wasn't wearing lounging clothes, my hair scraped back with no makeup. Only because I was leaving the house, I could never be bothered with that if I wasn't going anywhere!
Will Work For Work
I mentioned in my last post that I'm still looking for a job, and I felt like I just really needed to get some things about it out of my head because it's been really dragging me down. Now, while I have known for a while that getting a job wasn't going to be easy, no one tells you that the constant rejection/being ignored really takes a toll on you. Part of me thought that by now I'd be getting some results but still, nada! I went into nursing believing that, since it's never off the news about the NHS needing nurses, that I would be able to get a job with out too much heartache. But it's really not the case.
It's My Turn To Be The Black Swan
Friday 2 November 2012
Everyone all over Facebook, Twitter and Blogger land has already gone out over the weekend for Halloween, and I've loved seeing what everyone has gone as! My friends and I decided to go out on the Wednesday - actual Halloween. They're all still students and I'm still searching for a job now I'm qualified, so we can do the whole, nights out in the middle of the week thing. In fact I might do a post on finishing uni and trying to find a suitable job soon, because it hasn't been fun and a good rant should sort me out! Anyway, this Halloween my main goal was minimal budget, because of course I'm not working at the moment. So I looked through my wardrobe and had a bit of a dilemma. I have a long black dress, so I thought, I'll go as Audrey Hepburn a la Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's - but the dress isn't anything like that at all. It's all ruched at the front and actually looks more like something one of the gals from Downton Abbey would wear - but I thought if I dressed up as that everyone would be asking me who I am all night - and feebly explaining that "I'm dressed like someone from Downton Abbey" while not actually being specifically dressed as one of the characters would make me look stupid. On to the next!
